Programming the Motorola GM350 on Windows 10

Posted on 11. June 20218. July 2021

Since I am totally into these Motorola devices at the moment I picked up a GM350 and looked into the programming of these devices. It is simpler as expected. The setup is pretty much the same I used for the GM950 models. All you need is a different programming software. You can find the software as wgm950 on the net. It doesn’t require XP as often described, try it on Windows 3.1.

Hints and Tricks

  • If the software starts in a foreign language make sure to deleted the rss.cfg file in the application folder to reset the language to English.
  • If there is a no response from the radio error make sure that the COM port was opened correctly by Dosbox, that the cable is plugged in correctly and that the right COM port is selected in the software (Options -> Configuration).

Good luck!
